SCHOOL DAY · In-school classes

Make room for a little discovery.

A light comes on. A motor turns. A learner who was quiet a moment ago has something to explain. Bring coding and robotics into the school day, with lessons that turn curiosity into something children can build.

01 / THE EXPERIENCE

A lesson they can put their hands on.

Children often understand an idea differently when they can see it happen. A sequence becomes a character’s movement. A loop becomes a blinking light. A small change in code becomes a different angle on a robot arm.

Our instructors lead lessons on your premises, following a pathway from lower primary through SHS. Younger learners begin with stories, games and Scratch; older learners explore circuits, Arduino and Nova, then progress towards C++.

The aim is to give learners room to think, ask questions and explain their choices. Getting something wrong is part of the lesson: we look at what happened, make a change and try again.

02 / WHAT GROWS ALONG THE WAY

Skills that reach beyond the build.

[01]

Think in steps

Break an idea into a sequence, spot patterns and work out what should happen next.

[02]

Connect code to the world

Explore how instructions control lights, sounds, sensors and movement as learners progress.

[03]

Explain the thinking

Share a build, describe a decision and learn from a classmate’s approach.

03 / HOW LEARNING UNFOLDS

Make. Test. Understand.

  1. Start with a question

What makes a light change? How does a machine know a button was pressed? A small question gives the lesson a purpose.

  2. Build and explore

Learners work through an age-appropriate coding or hardware activity with instructor guidance.

  3. Test, talk, try again

We compare what we expected with what happened, then give learners time to improve and explain their work.

04 / BEFORE YOU GET STARTED

A few useful answers.

How does this fit into our timetable?

The program is designed around weekly school-day lessons. Tell us your year groups and available lesson slots so we can discuss a workable arrangement before you commit.

Can different year groups take part?

Yes. Our pathway covers ages 5 to 18, from lower primary to SHS. Activities follow each group’s stage rather than asking every learner to do the same project.

Who teaches the classes?

Nova Academy instructors teach at your school or learning centre. If you also want your own staff to develop these skills, our teacher training program is a useful next conversation.

What about equipment and fees?

These arrangements need to be agreed for your school. Ask us about laptops, robotics kits, room requirements and fees when you send your enquiry, so you know what to plan for.

LET’S FIND YOUR STARTING POINT

A conversation is a good first step.

Tell us about your school, your learners and the space in your timetable. We’ll talk through a starting point together.
